Sea World Fun

We are loving our Sea World Passes! We have been able to go a few times, so it has been really worth getting annual passes! I had to put the last two pictures in because the contrast between Autumn and Porter's tolerance for affection is hillarious! Plus, David looks so handsome. :)

New Moon GNO

I have to say that I really enjoyed New Moon. It was...gripping, exciting, and I really think it is fun to hear all of the girls all around that are SO into it, that they make all kinds of sounds and comments...it was really fun!

I stole these pictures...thanks Gretchen! Just had to have a little journal entry of the fun event! What an awesome group of girls to celebrate the big night with! ;)

Gardening!

I planted a sweet potato in june that had sprouted in my cupboard, and it has produced! I was so excited to see one sticking up out of the ground. We had them for dinner that night, and they were delicious. I don't know the size of my crop because I am going to wait a bit longer, or just dig some up as I need them.

The second picture is my little garden. I will have to add another picture because it grows quickly! The rows aren't too neat because Marik helped me...there are peas growing everywhere...he was sneaky with those peas!

My mom and I saw this dog when we pulled into a gas station in Montana, I think it was...it really looked like the dog was driving the truck. The owner said that the dog always gets into the driver's seat when he gets out. So funny!

Reflections

I love this song and these beautiful pictures. Be sure to turn off my music at the bottom so that you can enjoy this if you haven't seen it already.

Oh, Amy, you will have to tell Gene, that I think he could be the one singing this...after he sang this years ago in G.B., I was hoping he would sing every week in our ward! His voice is amazing!

City Kids at the Farm

After we took Porter to his final day of cub scout day camp, I took Marik and Autumn to "Morningside Park". They have a section of the park that they have a little farm that is modeled after a typical homestead here in Alachua County in 1870. They sometimes have staff that dress up, and make biscuits, and syrup from sugar cane, and serve it to anyone who visits that day. They have a garden that anyone is allowed to pick (and keep) vegetables from on certain days, and the kids can feed the animals they have there. It is a really cute little place! I included the picture of Marik feeding the cow because he had really had to put on a brave face after being attacked by a rooster. :) The man working there said that a little boy had kicked that particular rooster a while back and now he was a bully towards little kids and was usually locked up now because of it. I felt bad for Marik because it really scared him. He was just standing there looking at the cows, and this rooster flies out and pecks him in the stomach and knocks him backwards! Yikes! I held him for a while, then he was ready to feed the cows pretty soon after that.

This was just supposed to be a picture, but Marik's face was too funny not to include it!
